Throughout the years, as everyone does, I have lived in many different environments. I have met many people with whom I spent a small or significant part of my time - being at school, doing extracurricular activities, or discovering foreign countries.

Since a very young age, I like to observe people - first were my family members and relatives. As I entered into new environments, I became very interested in how my friends and people I know, just by their appearance, "function." I was always more on the quiet side, but inside me, the whole Oscars were playing.

However, nothing too impressive came out of my research that would be interesting for you to hear.

But there was one special (AHA) moment that made me create my theory about a subject that I am still curious about.

1st match

Before I start over-complicating everything, let me explain a thought that arose one day when I was sitting at the desk in the fourth row during a geography lesson at my high school.

I remember I was sitting at the desk, transcribing the sentences from the presentation on the screen, when a random thought landed in my mind: 

Wait, our professor reminds me of someone! 

Oh, my brain hurt… 

I'm there, yes, just a little bit more brainpower... 

I can do it, yes, I can! 

Focus, yes, focus...imagine you have just one job - to think about the person that is "the other" professor of geography.

I have it!

Yesssss! 

Wow, that's so interesting. 

Yes, it makes sense. 

That is why some other teachers and classmates also reminded me of my other friends and teachers.

I matched my geography professor with my Slovenian teacher from primary school.

“She came with me to high school in the form of a geography professor," I thought to myself.

Wait, what?

- I just saw them both in the past week...

It's not exactly like that, but, yes, still impressive. 

I just made a "match." 

What is it that makes them so "similar" in my head?

These and many more questions arose in my head. From that day on, I started to notice these similarities (P.S. I think that each person is unique, and the resemblance I have in mind is on a totally another level - it is more about the feeling I get, not the appearance, way of thinking, or anything like that. It is a weird combination of everything, together with the energy people emit when I'm around) among people I meet and spend at least some time with. I have checked the most characteristics of these two people who are a "match" but never found any objective trait common to both.

There actually is one, and it is personality, which seems objective to me, but it is not because we are all too different and unique.

The thing that I haven't checked are the astrological aspects.

-Maybe some patterns are hiding there.

These "clicks" in my mind usually happen after some time, but sometimes I even get an instant feeling that there is something within the person that strongly reminds me of another person. I have tried to find a match on purpose, but it doesn't always work. Some people have their "match," while some have a combination of more people, which I don't count as a match. 

It is interesting because in my "experience," one person has always had only one match, which was of the same gender. Some people might have even more "matches," but I didn't give the universe a chance to send me another "match" for one person.

The reason might also be that, from the time I started consciously "matching" people, I have only once changed my educational environment, which was the primary environment for my social interactions besides my summer jobs and sports training.

Yes, I agree, it might sound a little bit weird, but well, to me, it is still a fascinating and mysterious topic, which I probably won't be able to describe as well as I would like to.

- Since the time I started creating these matches, I wondered if my "findings" could be helpful in any way. Do these two people resonate and go well with each other, or is this whole theory just one of the thousands of ideas that come to my mind throughout the day? Well, I am pretty optimistic, and I think these two people might pleasantly drink a cup of tea together. 

Or it might be the opposite - you never know 😅.
